The Cendrawasih Dance is a contemporary Balinese dance inspired by the birds of paradise, or manuk dewata. Cendrawasih birds are believed to be a symbol of heavenly birds. The dance is performed by 2 female dancers. It tells the story of the mating of cendrawasih birds, and is a symbol of a journey of eternal love.
